Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe Slot
As the last instalment in the “stunning” series from BF Games, Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe follows up on the trend started in Stunning Hot, which consists of blending old-school casino features with modern rules and special symbols. Here, the developers have blurred the lines even further and introduced a simple yet interesting game onto the market.
With a fully customisable gameplay and high volatility, Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe is going to catch the eye of many players out there. If you enjoy both the classic visual style of arcade slots but are not willing to compromise on special features, let’s say scatter symbols, for instance, then Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe has some solid arguments. Let’s check them out in our full review here.
Break into the Bank
Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe focuses on what gamblers love most: gold. The background of the game is just a large pile of gold coins and gold bars that extends almost all the way up to the ceiling. It is unclear where the game is actually taking place, but probably the inside of a bank vault.
In terms of graphic quality, Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe is crisp and bright with plenty of details on and around the reels. That being said, the overall theme of the game is more classic than modern, especially in comparison with BF Games' own Stunning Hot, which we found a little more daring in that regard.
Customise Your Gameplay
Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe features command buttons under and on both sides of the reels. You can activate 5, 10 or 20 paylines, choose your coin size and spin the reels in just a few clicks. The betting range stretches from 0.05 to 50 credits per turn, and paylines will be automatically activated once you start selecting high bets on the scale. As a result, Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe offers more options in terms of customisation than Stunning Hot or Stunning 27. The bet max and autostart options are also available on the command bar under the reels.
The game still sticks to a high volatility and a classic paytable, with fruits like cherries, oranges and lemons followed by stars and 7s for a top prize of 250 times your line bet. Now we are back to relatively smaller jackpots, which is a little disappointing in comparison to Stunning Hot’s x1000 big win. The relatively large reel set for a game of the genre was still fun to us as we tested the game, but playing big and activating all 20 paylines seemed like an absolute necessity for us in order to reach the highest payouts of Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe.
A Certain Déjà Vu
Just like Stunning Hot, Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe includes two different special features that will help make each spin even more interesting. The gamble button that appears after each win on the reels gives players the opportunity to risk their latest win and perhaps double it instantly. Pick the right colour between red and black, and the deal is done.
The star symbol doubles as the scatter in Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe as well. Forget about paylines for a moment and try to score as many stars on the reels as you can at the same time to win up to 50 times your line bet in the process.
High Expectations for a Game that Fails to Deliver
Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe was designed to be the most ambitious of this short series of slot games from BF Games. The customisable gameplay that gives players a choice in terms of activated paylines is actually the main difference here. The symbols and graphic atmosphere are similar to those of Stunning Hot, and the paytable is actually less generous here.
In the end, and after testing the game, we ended with a very mixed opinion about Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe. We were expecting a truly improved version of Stunning Hot, especially given the name of the game, but we ended up with essentially the same game. True old-school slots such as Golden Sevens from Novomatic made a stronger impression on us thanks to their commitment to the old-school, arcade casino style, while Stunning Hot 20 Deluxe was a little disappointing in the end.
