Fruiterra Slot Machine
Oldies are goodies, and with Fruiterra you’ll know what we mean.
In reality the game isn’t quite as dated as it appears, but that doesn’t take away from the atmosphere it puts out there - it looks the real deal, sounds it, and has a simplistic set of extras that add weight to that notion. So what if it’s actually modern, you’ll be sucked in before too long and not bothered about when it was made.
Every spin will have some sort of bonus attached to it, that’s right: every single spin, meaning you will always get more than you initially thought. And if that doesn’t cheer you up, think of the various multipliers waiting to be triggered to give you a larger turnover at the end.
A Reel Treat
Stood against a brick wall, Fruiterra lets its flashing lights and retro style do all the talking; it looks exactly like the odd arcade machines you still see scattered about in local pubs, and as such brings all this nostalgia bubbling up to the surface.
Players will notice that there are a lot of icons around the 3-reels 25 paylines grid, which are in fact the bonuses we mentioned earlier. Think of it as a wheel of fortune that comes to life whenever you spin the reels, when the spinning stops, so too does the wheel, landing on a reward that will be added to your game. Sometimes you will get x5 of what you win (if you make a winning line), while other times you’ll get a free spin.
Those symbols, just like the ones upon the matrix, are very basic, relying on traditional imagery and bold colours to lure you in and delight your senses.
As you would have thought, most of the icons are fruit based, with the strawberry and purple grapes acting as the lowest paying tiles at just 3 credits. Though even the flaming 7, the highest of the pack, only gives you 50, which is a low payout in comparison to other slots yet a decent one when judged against other classic games. You need three of each symbol for a win to count.
When you hit your stride and luck decides to help you out, a red box and connecting line will appear on the grid, highlighting where your newfound cash just came from.
Speed It Up!
Before we even get to the regaling of how to play (because, let's face it, you should know it all by now), we want to talk about the fast play feature here. Shown as a lime green fast forward arrow, you click it and everything will speed up, both the reels and the bonus track surrounding it. It’s a nice and easy means of making the title more convenient and fun to watch.
Back to the basics now; users can bet between 0.25 and 125.00 coins as their total bet, which will then be broken down to show you how much you’ve placed on each of those paylines. It’s a clever way of changing up the control panel. Should you want to just bet it all (and why shouldn’t you?), you can click the Max Bet widget.
Those playing with Fruiterra will also find an Autowave bar to help select how many rounds, or in this game waves, you wish to play at any one time. You can choose between 50 and 999, and are able to stop them whenever you want using the same button.
Too Fruity for You?
We love Fruiterra, it just oozes charm that can be so hard to come across in retro slot machines. Maybe it’s the sound effects or the graphics, or maybe it’s the added bonuses that make it so thrilling, but we just can’t get enough. There are plenty of other Booongo titles that are similar to this, so why not have an explore if you too have fallen in love with this game.
