Spook Mansion Casino Games

One of the increasingly popular additions to online casinos have been skill-based dice games. In these titles, there’s still a lot of luck involved, as you can’t control what will be rolled on the dice. But at the same time, players do decide where they place their rolls, and skillful manipulation can lead players to earn more points and bigger prizes.

While these games are interesting on a basic level, some developers have taken the time to add bonus features and other elements to increase the variety of gameplay options and potentially reach a wider audience. That’s the case in Spook Mansion, a title that mixes the tried and true formula for this genre of play with the addition of a fun theme and a bonus round. The result is a game that should appeal to anyone who enjoys these sorts of games, but also to those who may not have tried them before but like the mix of skill and luck they offer.

Rolling Doesn’t Have to be Scary

In Spook Mansion, players are set with placing dice on one of three 3x3 grids. There are ten possible faces for each die, and they will appear to players three at a time, at which point players must place all of them (in the order presented) into the first open column on one of the grids. That restricts just how much control you have over making the combinations you want, but still leaves a fair amount of technique for players to implement.

The object of the game is to eventually make three-in-a-row matches across these grids. Any line of three will do, as long as it runs left to right: that means there are potentially five winning lines on each box, either straight across or diagonally.

Each time a player makes a complete line, they’ll earn points. The number of points received depend on the exact symbol that you’ve used to win: the basic 1-2-3 faces are worth 20 points, for instance, while the green Chinese symbol is worth the most, at 120. It is possible to earn more than one winning combo on a single box.

It’s also possible to earn some point points along the way. For instance, if you score a win on at least two different grids, you’ll get a 1.5x multiplier on everything you’ve earned. Meanwhile, scoring on all three will earn you a 2x multiplier. Hitting nine of the same symbol on a single box will not only score on all five lines, it will also earn you an additional 200 point bonus. Players add up all of these modifiers to get their total score.

Cashing In

What can you do with all of these points? The object here is to collect as many as possible, because different point thresholds will earn you various prizes. The more you get, the better, obviously, with prizes worth up to 100x your initial stake being possible in the main game. The following are the score levels and the prizes they will earn you:

  • 100 Points: 2x Your Initial Stake
  • 150: 3x
  • 200: 4x
  • 250: 5x
  • 300: 6x
  • 400: 8x
  • 500: 20x
  • 700: 60x
  • 1,000: 100x

There’s also a couple bonuses you’ll want to watch out for. Hit three in a row with the red bonus symbol, and you’ll enter into a special feature where you’ll get to explore the spooky mansion for yourself in a game of hide and seek. Here, you’ll open doors in order to unlock additional points that will apply to your current round. You can also trade your points for a shot at a mystery prize offered by Spook, the ghostly main character of this game.

The other mini-game occurs whenever you hit winning combinations on all three grids. This will unlock Spook’s cage, allowing you to play on the Wheel of Fortune where you can earn points or unlock higher levels of the wheel, which offer even bigger rewards.

Roll Them Bones

While the combination of a creepy haunted house and a dice game might not feel like an obvious combination, it actually works out rather well here. The atmosphere adds just a little more immersion to the game, and it serves as a great way to introduce the thematic bonus rounds that really are a nice addition to this type of title. Even players who aren’t too interested in the subtle setting of dice can get into the special features, which offer up some pretty big bonuses to lucky players.

While this is mostly just another dice game, these added features really do add more replay value and depth than your typical entry into this category. Throw in the fact that the artwork is very attractive and the theme holds up throughout the entire game, and this works as a very fun way to get new players into this sort of gambling, while also sticking to the basic formula well enough to appeal to veterans of the genre.
