3 Elements Slot
3 Elements is a casino 5-reeler with 40 paylines that can be played across desktop, mobile and tablet devices. Pioneered by the games developer Fuga Gaming Technologies, in associated with Fuga Gaming Technology, the slot is all about Glory, a female heroine armed with a prospector’s pick and a cowboy hat. Though Glory looks like she’d be happy in a Wild West or Australian Outback setting, in fact she’s off to Egypt to plunder tombs and pyramids. She’s an archaeologist, you see, a sort of female Indiana Jones.
We know what you’re thinking: not another bloody Ancient Egypt slot game. But before you moodily stalk off to find an alternative, at least take a moment to get acquainted with this new game…
Digging for Treasure
3 Elements, which is playable from 0.40 per spin, does everything it can to entice even those gamers who are sick and tired of the Ancient Egypt theme. Thus, there is not one, nor two but three unique bonus features to take advantage of. More on that later, though; a word, first, on how this game looks.
As stated, the heroine is Glory, a buxom blonde archaeologist hell-bent on uncovering buried treasure. As the game loads, you’ll be presented with the image of an old cartographer’s map, over which a red plane flies. Presumably Glory is within, planning her adventures.
Anyway, when the game is loaded, and the plane comes in to land, you’ll be shown the reel. The graphics are excellent. The 5x3 grid appears in front of a desert landscape, rolling sandhills stretching in every direction. Below the reels, you’ll see your line bet, total bet, win amount and an adjustable pay-line counter. To the left is a toolbox, where you can adjust your bets, and to the right is a zoom button. The ‘A’ button lets you tinker with the AutoPlay controls; this is also where you can impose a loss limit – a welcome function indeed.
Taking up residence on the reels are several different icons, each representing unique pay-out amounts. There’s Glory’s trusty sidekick, a long-eared collie; a red plane; a blue scarab; a gold figurine; the Eye of Horus; a gold amulet; a skull; and Anubis, the Egyptian god of the dead known for its jackal head.
There are also playing card symbols, from Jack through to Ace. It’s always a little irksome when themed games include these dull playing card icons, don’t you think? They have nothing whatsoever to do with the theme. Anyway, the ace pays 200 for five-in-a-line, while the king pays 150 and the queen/jack 100. Needless to say, pay-outs for combinations of three and four are pretty modest.
There’s better action to be found elsewhere on the table. Land five scarabs to win 200, five Anubis to win 500 or five sidekick dogs to win 1,500. The highest-paying symbol in the game is Glory herself; this yields 2,500 for five-in-a-line, or 1,000 for four-in-a-line. The red plane is another lucrative symbol, granting handsome pay-outs of 1,200 for five and 400 for four. What’s more, whenever you trigger a win, an epic orchestral soundtrack will kick in to commemorate your success. Huzzah!
Bumper Bonuses
As stated, the bonuses in 3 Elements are pretty good. When the Eye of Horus symbol appears on reel three, for instance, it can swap positions with other symbols and, in the process, forge winning combinations.
What’s more, if you land three broken amulet scatters on the central three reels, you’ll activate the unique Amulet Bonus. Simply pick two of the same object from the treasure chests to win a cash prize. If you find the amulet itself, you’ll win a super prize.
Another bonus feature centres around the skull scatter symbols. Simply land three or more, anywhere on the reels, and you’ll trigger a series of re-spins. Before this happens, though, the skulls will turn yellow, green or red – each colour offering a different incentive. The yellow skulls can turn into specific symbols to form winning combos, the greens are wild, substituting for everyone except Glory, and have a multiplier attached (it’s x7 if you’re playing all 40 lines, and increases by one with every re-spin) and the reds appear as stacked wilds. All skulls are frozen in place until they take part in a successful combination. The re-spins occur until all skulls have vanished.
Elements of Fun
3 Elements is a dynamic medium-variance slot game that boasts terrific graphics and forward-thinking bonuses. It’s definitely one of the better Ancient Egypt games out there.
