Super Flex Bingo

One of the more interesting aspects of bingo games around the world is seeing the different kinds of patterns that are used to determine winners. If you’ve played the game locally on occasion, you almost certainly are used to making lines or needing to fill an entire card. But there are literally thousands of patterns that have been used from time to time around the world, with shapes, letters, numbers, and other inspirations used to pick the spots needed to claim a win.

In most cases, patterns are more important to the 75-ball variant of the game than the 90-ball version popularized in the United Kingdom. But Patagonia Entertaiment’s Super Flex Bingo has found a way to blend unusual and unique patterns into the actions of the smaller ticket games. The result is an interestingly designed game that offers players plenty of ways to win, even if the results still come down to luck in the end.

Many Ways to Win

Super Flex Bingo is a game in which players hope to make patterns on their cards by matching numbers that are drawn at random. The name of the game here is 90-ball bingo, and each card features three rows of five numbers each – a simplified version of the cards you’d find in a live version of this game.

At the start of each round, players have the choice to play up to four tickets. By default, all of these are activated, but you may click on any card to remove it from play (or bring it back) according to your preferences. You may also set a bet, which will be the same on each card. Bets are made in credits, which are normally valued at 0.25 units of the currency you are playing in. Players may also replace their cards by clicking a new tickets button, which will generate a new set of four to use.

Once you’re ready to start, you can hit the play button. This will begin sending balls down the shoot and into a holding area below. Each ball features a number; if that number appears on your cards, then it will be checked off. Should you complete any of the winning patterns, the game will briefly pause in order to point out the win before continuing to draw more numbers.

This process will continue until 30 balls are drawn. At that point, players will be given the choice to end the game immediately, or to continuing on by purchasing extra balls. Each extra ball will cost you a certain number of credits, displayed at the top of the game. This cost will vary depending on the current situation: if you don’t have any obvious ways to score a win, the next ball will be very cheap, while you’ll pay a lot of credits for a shot at drawing a number that could fill in the final spot on one of your cards.

If you draw one new ball, you’ll then be given the opportunity to stop or pay for another. The price can chance between offers: again, this depends on what potential wins are available to you. If you ever want to stop, just click the “NO” button, which will end the round.

You’ll be able to draw up to nine extra balls in this manner. If, after those nine, you have the potential to make one of the higher-value patterns with just one more spot, the game will give you the chance to buy up to three more balls in order to finish off your big wins. Finally, the game may offer you the chance to buy one last time should you end the game very close to finishing either the perimeter or full card patterns, which offer the largest prizes.

One notable aspect of this game is the fact that there are a wide variety of patterns – 12 in total – that can earn you rewards. Some of these are hard to describe, but we’ve done our best to name them below. If they aren’t clear, don’t worry: in the game, pictures are provided, making it obvious what you’ll need to claim each prize.

  • One Line: 3x
  • Pointer: 3x
  • Cross: 8x
  • Triangle: 10x
  • Checkerboard: 40x
  • Square: 40x
  • Letter M: 100x
  • Two Lines: 100x
  • Reverse Letter X: 200x
  • Roman Numeral II: 500x
  • Perimeter: 750x
  • Bingo (Full Card): 1,500x

There’s also a jackpot reward that can be earned under certain circumstances. This jackpot is only available if you bet at least three credits per card, and play the maximum of four cards on a given round. To win the jackpot, you’ll need to completely fill a card during the main portion of the game, without having to purchase any additional balls.

Decisions, Decisions

There’s only one place in Super Flex Bingo where players have the opportunity to make decisions that will impact their chances of winning. That’s the choice that needs to be made about whether or not to purchase additional balls at the end of each round. If you’ve read any of our information on other games from Patagonia, you’ll probably know the drill here: the game is designed to give you a tempting price, but it will always be one that is just a bit too expensive for the possibilities available to you. We can understand some players wanting to take a shot at one of the biggest prizes here, but just keep in mind that in the long run, the house has the edge on these offers – just as they do in the game as a whole.

Beyond that, however, the game is essentially all about luck. That means you can leave charts and optimal strategies at home: just sit back and hope for the numbers that will earn you a jackpot payout! We don’t have an exact figure on the return to player in this game, but if it is similar to other titles created by Patagonia Entertainment, then it is likely in the range of 85%-90%.

Just Another Bingo Game

Overall, we feel that Super Flex Bingo is a mixed bag for players looking for a bingo-based game to play at online casinos. On the one hand, there is an interesting set of patterns to play for, which adds some variety in terms of your payouts and wins. However, the lack of bonus rounds means that there isn’t much variation in the gameplay itself. The one twist is the ability to purchase extra balls, but since this is available in many games designed by this developer, it doesn’t really stand out here.

The result is a pretty standard bingo game. If that’s what you want, then this is probably a good choice: the additional ways to win make it a bit more interesting than many similar games, without actually making it any harder to play or more confusing to follow along with. However, those looking for more interactive features or layered gameplay will want to try games with a bit more depth.
