Pharaoh Fortune Slots

You’re soon to be showered in jewels when you play Pharaoh Fortune, brought to you by the masters of classic slots, Gamescale.

The brand has spanned the years, creating a lot of classic slot machines that have buckets of appeal due to their inclusion of a novelty theme. These themes have come in all shapes and sizes, some consisting of only 3 reels while others have the full 5. Players have made Crazy Pizza with the brand and have toiled in the limbo between good and evil in Angel Slot and Devil, but they’ve had yet to experience Egypt.

Pharaoh Fortune is a 5-reel traditional game with an average set of aesthetics, making it a pleasant but uninspiring gaming event. There are no bonus rounds, wilds or scatters, with only a paytable of four symbols to play for in all. The betting range is low and the wins are medium, making it a brilliant gap filler for when you’re in a gaming rut.

Hidden inside the head of a Pharaoh's tomb, you will have to pump the handle to bring the game back to life, allowing its mummified remains to slowly regenerate. There are little distractions to be had here, meaning you focus on the game and nothing else, which is ideal for those who like streamlined titles.

Making Your Fortune

You’re obviously here for gold, so let’s crack on and find out what the reels are hiding from you. The ankh tile is the lowest of the bunch, gifting users a total of x40 of their bet when a winline of five is discovered, however if you should only get three or four, the sums are reduced to x5 and x10.

Moving on from there we have the sphinx, a globally recognised symbol. When this shows up in any of its three groupings, it brings with it gold worth between x10 and x100 of your stake, making it a lot more impressive than the ankh. Rather than steadily increasing in value, Pharaoh Fortune jumps from one symbol to the next, making the top level icons all the more exciting when found.

As this game is about money and little else, as designed by the brand itself, let’s skip ahead to the top of the table where the pyramid symbol lurks. This baby isn’t just grand in its appearance, for it also has up to x2,000 credits buried inside its worn sandstone blocks. Getting to the top and finding all five of the tiles is a feat that few gamers will manage, however if they’re invested to the bitter end, they may be in with a chance of discovering the full extent of what the ancient Egyptians left behind for us.

Pharaoh’s Interface

If you’re feeling a tad rusty in the game controls department, we have just the remedy for that: in this section we’ll lay out all the intricacies of the interface so that you can navigate them like a pro. You can wow your friends with your skills or sit in quiet smug satisfaction.

The Max Bet toggle will have you playing with 5 credits per winline, of which there are 5. This sum of money can then be further increased via the Bet widget, giving you a chance to bulk up your stake to a more hefty total of €125. This is an extreme bet though, with most of us never even bothering to look that far ahead, and so we’ll return to the base bet of just 0.50 credits.

Why you would want to decrease the number of winlines is something only you’ll know, but should you have a mind to do just that, you’ll need to use the arrows on the left hand side of the grid. They point in the direction of the corresponding line, and will go dark when not in use. Say you begin a round and then decide you want all the winlines active again, just select the All Lines option and they’ll light up once more.

Bordering on the Boring?

If we take Pharaoh Fortune as a standalone title, our first experience of the Gamescale brand, it’s a decent activity with medium sized results. However, if we look at it alongside all the other slot machines that have the same format but merely a different theme, it becomes less accomplished.

Gamescale has made a lot of money out of doing the same or similar, which is great for them, but for users it makes boredom busting all the more challenging.
