Rams Pick ‘Em goes live
The Los Angeles Rams have launched Rams Pick ‘Em, a new interactive free-to-play mobile game that NFL fans can experience in real time. The pick ’em contest gives players the chance to win prizes by correctly predicting the outcomes of games.
The new gaming experience was introduced to fans as the Rams took on the Oakland Raiders in their first preseason game.
Rams Pick ‘Em contests will be available to players during each Rams game for the duration of the team’s season. Players will be able to test their football instincts using the app or dedicated website.
Details of the game
Fans of the Rams – or of football in general – must be 18 and older to take part in Rams Pick ‘Em. All states are open to participating except Florida, New York, and Rhode Island.
Players make their predictions for free, in turn earning points for correct answers. Once the game is completed, the participants sitting at the top of a leaderboard earn prizes.
During the preseason and regular season, those who take part in the special contests compete for tickets and pregame field passes to a home regular-season game as well as signed memorabilia.
Predictions in the pick ’em contests are available from 48 hours before each Rams game.
Players who sign up receive notifications when the predictions are live so they can make their choices early. Pregame predictions are open until kickoff, while additional predictions are added during halftime.
Following the launch, Los Angeles Rams VP of Media Marissa Daly said:
We are thrilled to bring our fans closer to the action with an engaging second-screen experience.”
Similar offering in Washington
Rams Pick ‘Em is similar to an offering just launched by the Washington Redskins. The NFL team is providing a gambling-focused telecast that sees fans win prizes by predicting what will happen during games.
According to VSO News, the NBC Sports Washington network will offer the interactive games during preseason. Unlike the Rams offering, which will be live during the entire preseason and regular NFL season, the Redskins will only offer the contests during four preseason games.
