Celebration to come
The first retail sportsbook in New Hampshire launched on August 12 at The Brook casino, powered by DraftKings. Sports fans in the state can now legally place sports bets on all major professional and college US sports at a retail facility.
This new sportsbook, featuring video walls and betting kiosks, is located in the sports entertainment area of the property. The timing of the launch comes as major sports leagues start to swing back into action. There are plans to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new DraftKings Sportsbook in September.
A great day for the state
Speaking about the sportsbook launch was The Brook CEO Andre Carrier. He said: “We built The Stadium at The Brook to be the best place to watch sports anywhere in New England. Unless you’re at the game, we feel that there’s no better place. Our new sportsbook will offer sports fans throughout the region a state-of-the-art, dynamic betting experience.”
the next evolution for the New Hampshire Lottery and DraftKings”
New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu also commented on the opening, saying: “This retail sportsbook represents the next evolution for the New Hampshire Lottery and DraftKings, which have already established New Hampshire as the go-to destination for sports betting in the Northeast.”
DraftKings tweeted a picture of the new facility on launch day:

This is the eighth retail sportsbook that DraftKings has opened so far in the US. It also has mobile sportsbooks in many states, including one launched in New Hampshire on December 30, 2019.
DraftKings is the sole provider of sports betting in the state and as part of its agreement with the New Hampshire Lottery, it will open from four to ten retail sportsbooks across the region.
In return for exclusivity, DraftKings gives the state 51% of sports betting revenue. Total handle to date from mobile sports betting in New Hampshire has been over $65m, with 42,000 registered online users.
Renovated casino
The property formerly known as the Seabrook Park was bought by Las Vegas-based Eureka Casino Resorts in January 2019. It completed major renovations over the course of the next year and rebranded the property to The Brook.

It is also home to the only pari-mutuel facility in the state and there is no bigger retail sportsbook within 300 miles. The renovations unveiled in January 2020 included casino table games like roulette and blackjack, as well as a 16-table poker room with a regular schedule of tournaments.
