Powering in-play betting

Genius Sports Group has announced that is now an official multi-state data partner of WynnBET. The sports data and technology company tweeted out details about the new deal on Tuesday:

WynnBET, the Wynn Resorts-owned online betting brand, will be getting access to official live data through Genius Sports’ partnerships with many notable sporting organizations. Specifically, the LiveTrading and LiveData offerings from Genius Sports will be driving the in-play betting on the WynnBET sportsbooks in Michigan, Colorado, and New Jersey. While other launches are in the works, WynnBET is not currently live in any other states.

One of the key partnerships that Genius Sports has in place is with NASCAR. This relationship will allow WynnBET to offer over 15 different in-race betting markets to its users during the course of the NASCAR season.

Genius Sports also has deals with hundreds of different sporting organizations, spanning soccer, ice hockey, and basketball. Some of the more prominent partners include the English Premier League, the German Bundesliga, and the Italian Serie A.

Genius Sports Group has already formed relationships with other sports betting operators that are active in the US market. This includes BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings, William Hill, and PointsBet.

The group is currently looking at becoming a public company on the New York Stock Exchange. This would be through a merger with the special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) dMY II, with the sports data and technology company having a current valuation of $1.5bn. The first announcement regarding this plan was made in October 2020, with both boards giving the merger the green light. dMY shareholders still need to approve the deal.
