New iGaming mobile app
Playtech is now offering online casino games in the state of Michigan. The gaming technology group entered the market with its Play Gun Lake app as part of an agreement with Parx Interactive.

The app is the namesake of the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians, who operate the Gun Lake Casino in Wayland, Michigan. Players can access the app on iOS and Android devices. This week, the tribe and Parx Interactive were able to secure the approval needed to launch from the state’s Gaming Control Board.
Playtech’s platform and management tech
Play Gun Lake will use Playtech’s IMS platform and Player Account Management features. For players, the software company is providing a nice selection of titles such as slots and table games.
Shimon Akad, the chief operating officer for Playtech, stated that the online gaming partnership with Parx is another milestone in the company’s strategic development and delivery in the United States. He said: “The US is a highly sophisticated market and therefore demands a technology solution that provides a high-quality customer experience.”
Matthew Cullen, senior vice president of iGaming and sports for Parx Casino, commented as well, stating the company is constantly looking to expand its offering to provide a next level user experience. To launch with Playtech is “particularly exciting.”
Live Studio in Michigan
Playtech will also will soon create a live casino studio in Michigan. In late March, Playtech announced it signed a long-term lease in the state to create the new studio.
Plans include integrating video and technology used by Playtech at its studio located in Latvia. The operator will provide live content in retail and online settings.
The new studio will be located in Southfield, a hub for technology companies in Michigan.
Flutter deal expansion
Also in March, Playtech announced a new contract extension with Flutter Entertainment. The five-year extension will see the tech company stay on as the chief supplier of online gaming services for Flutter. The software company is a top strategic partner for the gaming brand as it looks to grow in several European markets.
Conor Grant, the CEO of Flutter Entertainment UK & Ireland, stated that the company has developed a successful partnership with Playtech over the years. Flutter looks forward to being able to continue to provide customers with software from one of the top suppliers in the world.
