A multi-year deal
BetRivers is now an official sports betting partner of the Indy Eleven professional soccer club. The sportsbook operator becomes the Indianapolis-based team’s third official partner, alongside the Community Health Network and the Central Indiana Honda Dealers. Indy Eleven tweeted out the news of this partnership on Thursday:
Leading sports data firm Sportradar is also supporting this multi-year deal between the Rush Street Interactive-owned BetRivers and the soccer team.
As part of the agreement, the BetRivers logo will appear on the team’s jersey sleeve. It will also be the presenting partner of one of the home game nights during the upcoming season, as well as sponsor a 30-minute post-game television show that broadcasts across several local networks. The sportsbook operator will get signage positioning around the team’s stadium, as well as online exposure. Finally, it will sponsor the weekly Soccer Saturday radio show.
The search is over
The team has been looking for a suitable sports betting partner for some time. Indy Eleven President and CEO Greg Stremlaw said: “Indy Eleven has been extremely focused on finding a true partner to maximize what has become a pivotal area for growth in all corners of the sports industry.”
He went on to thank BetRivers for its “tremendous commitment” to the club.
In response to the deal, Rush Street Interactive COO Mattias Stetz said: “This partnership combines two organizations that share an unwavering commitment to excellence in providing sports fans with unparalleled experiences.”
BetRivers in Indiana
Indiana lawmakers legalized sports betting in May 2019, making Indiana the eighth state to do so. It did not take long for retail sportsbooks to launch; the first opened in September 2019. BetRivers and DraftKings were the first online sportsbooks to get up and running in the state.

BetRivers covers a wide range of sports with its offering, including betting markets for USL Championship games. The operator holds a license through a deal with the French Lick Casino, which also houses a BetRivers retail sportsbook. In March, BetRivers’ online sports betting handle in Indiana was $9.16m, putting it in fifth position among online operators. The total betting handle in Indiana for the month was $316.7m.
In other BetRivers news, the operator opened a retail sports betting lounge last weekend at the home arena of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins. BetRivers currently operates sportsbooks and/or online casinos in nine states.
