Another big win

Popular Twitch streamer Trainwreck is mostly known for securing huge jackpots on online slots and roulette, but he has recently also drawn attention for his sports wagering exploits. With his most recent effort, he has demonstrated that betting can offer similarly staggering payouts to online casino.

a payday of more than $2.7m from a +2346 wager

On Wednesday evening, Trainwreck secured himself a payday of more than $2.7m from a +2346 wager on baseball and ice hockey games. The win came from a $112,109 bet on a five-fold parlay through crypto gambling site Stake. The Texan, real name Tyler Niknam, took to Twitter to share this with his 512,000+ followers:

Perhaps even more impressive than the multimillion-dollar return was the way in which the parlay played out. As he made clear in his Twitter post, three of Trainnwreck’s selections had to complete comebacks to secure the streamer his cash.

Trainwreck’s lucky day

The stars really had to align for Niknam to secure his win. The Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Yankees, and the Colorado Avalanche were all staring defeat in the face at one point. Meanwhile, the Baltimore Orioles easily defeated the Washington Nationals 7-0, and the Miami Marlins saw a relatively uneventful 7-4 win against the Colorado Rockies.

Freddie Freeman put the nail in the coffin

MLB’s Los Angeles Dodgers had to overcome a 3-1 deficit to secure their 8-4 victory against the Cincinnati Reds. The Dodgers began their comeback in the third inning and led for the first time in the fifth. Freddie Freeman put the nail in the coffin by bagging himself a leadoff home run in the seventh.

Also in baseball, the New York Yankees had to complete a similarly impressive comeback over the Tampa Bay Rays. They came back from a 4-1 deficit after Jose Trevino delivered a two-run shot that put the Yankees ahead in the eighth inning. For Tampa Bay, it was the eighth loss in 11 games.

Finally, Niknam’s luck also spread into the NHL. His wager on the Colorado Avalanche looked like a poor choice earlier in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. The Tampa Bay Lightning seemed to dominate much of the game, taking a 2-1 lead in the third period. However, Nazem Kadri scored the game-winning goal at 12:02 of overtime, giving the Avalanche a 3-2 victory.

Making a habit of it

In May, Trainwreck shared the details of another multimillion-dollar betting win. The streamer netted $2.5m wagering on English Premier League teams battling to stay in the top division. He took to Twitter to share the $77,167 parlay also placed on Stake:

Outside of sports betting, Niknam has broken various records in regard to his online casino gambling. He is now among the top roulette winners of all time after bagging himself $3.75m on two spins this year. The streamer wagered a staggering $350,000 per spin. That same month, he landed a world record online slot win of $22.5m while live streaming on Twitch.

Despite his highly public wins, Trainwreck repeatedly reminds his followers that he loses considerable amounts through his gambling habit. He has also taken aim at other members of the Twitch gambling community for a lack of transparency in regards to profits and losses. In February, he brought into question the honesty of one specific streamer called Roshtein.
