IGT’s Global Lottery Business CEO Suddenly Passes Away

International Game Technology (IGT) has announced the sudden passing of its Global Lottery Division CEO Fabio Cairoli. The gaming company broke the news on Monday and sent its condolences to the deceased’s family.

Cairoli first dipped his toes into the gaming industry when he joined Lottomatica Group in 2012 as its Senior Vice President of Business. He took over the IGT lottery role in July 2020, having been the head of IGT’s Italian business and operations beforehand.

Speaking about Cairoli, IGT executive chair Marco Sala said: “He was distinguished by his passion, drive, sincerity, and commitment to results and innovation.”

Cairoli was 58 at the time of passing. No details have been provided in regard to how the CEO died.
