Television New Zealand (TVNZ) is concerned over a fake video, now deleted, that did the rounds of one of its presenters promoting a gambling app. The artificial intelligence (AI) generated footage was a fake news story featuring Simon Dallow, which showed the news anchor speaking about a gambling app.

Those who looked closely could see that the video was out of sync slightly when Dallow was talking about the sums of money that New Zealanders have won through the app. It went on to claim that YouTube star MrBeast is the creator of the gambling offering.
