Move over Adele because Beyoncé is reportedly in the picture for a blockbuster Las Vegas residency.
X has blown up with news that the Sphere owner James Dolan is reportedly working on landing “Queen Bey” for his music venue. 2Cool2Blog shared a clip of ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith applauding Dolan Saturday and stating: “for once, you’re damn behind on this something right”:
The New York Post cited sources saying Dolan has been talking with Beyoncé’s team about the record-breaking 32-time Grammy Award-winning artist taking up residency as soon as mid-February 2024.
Fueling the reports are sources stating Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z and mother/manager Tina Knowles have separately toured Dolan’s $2.3bn billion Vegas Strip arena.
Media sources have widely reported a figure of $10m as the price for Beyoncé’s signature, with Smith chiding the New York Knicks and New York Rangers owner that the pop icon was worth double, and to “stop being so damn cheap.”

If Beyoncé comes to Vegas, she could dethrone British pop superstar Adele, who extended her lucrative residency at Caesars Palace with 32 new dates starting January 2024. In April, reports Adele was going to extend her Caesars residency came with the rider that it would make her one of the highest paid performers in Las Vegas history.
It remains to be seen what impact the former Destiny’s Child singer will have on Sin City should she take up Sphere residency. According to the NY Post, Beyoncé’s “spokeswoman did not return calls or e-mails.”
