The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has launched a new confidential tip line, allowing people to safely submit information about suspicious or criminal activity through an online portal. The “Tell Us Something in Confidence” service can be accessed directly through the regulator’s website.

Some of the types of activity that individuals can report through it include concerns over money laundering, match-fixing, underage gambling, and unlicensed activity. People should not report any complaints about licensed operators or non-gambling-related crimes.

Tipsters can attach documents and photographs to their correspondence, as well as leave their contact details if they wish to do so. The UKGC also will accept additional information by post or email.

The UKGC already has a telephone service for confidential tips and is constantly looking at ways in which it can combat illicit activities in the UK’s gambling sector.
