A woman in Las Vegas has allegedly killed her boyfriend after finding the used tampons of another woman in the trash. Julie Bush, 30, is facing a charge of open murder after running over the victim – Richard Penardo, Jr., 51.

Court documents seen by 8 News Now revealed the details of the incident. On Friday afternoon, a bystander called police claiming that Bush had ran over a man before leaning over him and hysterically crying. The victim was transported to the nearest hospital but was declared dead the following day, suffering multiple brain bleeds and collapsed lungs.

She then accelerated into Penardo, causing him to smash into a brick wall

Bush explained to the police that the pair had been fighting because she found another woman’s tampons in the trash. Penardo supposedly then began swinging “a long, steel chain” around, breaking the windows of Bush’s vehicle. She then accelerated into Penardo, causing him to smash into a brick wall.

Police also reviewed video footage of the scene. It appeared to show Bush following her boyfriend in her car “in an attempt to hit him.” In the car, they found methamphetamine and fentanyl, with Bush later revealing that she had taken some fentanyl prior to the incident.

Police arrested Bush on Friday. She already had several charges, including DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, domestic battery, attempted murder, and drug possession. Similarly, Penardo previously served prison time on charges of forgery, accessory to felony, conspiracy to commit murder, and insurance fraud.
