History has been made at the 2024 World Series of Poker as Scott Seiver has become just the sixth player in history to win three gold bracelets in a single WSOP. On Sunday, Seiver emerged victorious in Event #72: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship to claim the first prize of $411,041.

Seiver now shares the record for most bracelets in a Series with Puggy Pearson (1973), Phil Hellmuth (1993), Ted Forrest (1993), Phil Ivey (2002), and Jeff Lisandro (2009). With seven career bracelets, he has also jumped into a tie for seventh on the all-time WSOP bracelet list with Billy Baxter, John Hennigan, who won his seventh this summer, Men “The Master” Nguyen, and Daniel Negreanu, who also just won his seventh.

Seiver set out this WSOP to try to win the 2024 WSOP Player of the Year title and strengthen his resume to the point where he couldn’t be denied Poker Hall of Fame votes when he becomes eligible next year. The latter almost seems like a lock now, especially considering he already had the qualifications. One would think POY is wrapped up, but with 3,757.01 points, he is still only about 400 ahead of Jeremy Ausmus. Seiver certainly looks like he’ll win it, but he might have a little more work to do.

I want to win one bracelet in every single discipline there is”

“I feel very satisfied right now,” Seiver told PokerNews in his post-game interview. “I can’t really describe it. I’m like on Cloud Nine right now. This just means so much to me, and it also is a step in a personal journey I’ve made for myself where I’ve had a pie-in-the-sky dream where I want to win one bracelet in every single discipline there is.”

Scott Seiver now has bracelets in 2-7 Lowball Draw, Razz (two), Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, No-Limit Hold’em (two), and Limit Hold’em.
