Sometimes you just need to get it all out, you know? During Day 1B of one of the final events of the 2024 World Series of Poker, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow puked all over the floor.

spewed his guts “in the middle of the room”

Poker player Kris Burchfield tweeted briefly about it Tuesday night, saying after Matusow spewed his guts “in the middle of the room,” tournament officials moved the players at his and the surrounding tables, presumably so they would be out of scent and possibly splash damage range. Burchfield added that after the vomiting stopped, Matusow moved to his new table and began to expel his demons again.

Burchfield also said that Daniel Negreanu filmed some of the experience for his blog, and sure enough, Negreanu posted it on Wednesday:

Sitting by himself recovering, Matusow told Negreanu that he started feeling sick during the break, complete with sweats, racing heart, and pain (as he gestured to his abdomen). Before spitting into a garbage can next to his chair, he did say he was feeling better, joking that maybe he was ill because he “won a pot or something.”

Matusow must be no worse for wear, though, as he made to Day 2 of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em “The Closer” event with 500,000 chips. He was also one of the ten finalists for the Poker Hall of Fame Class of 2024, though it was Patrik Antonius who was announced as the inductee on Sunday.
