A former employee at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh has filed a lawsuit in which she alleges she suffered sexual harassment from high rollers and that her former employer did nothing about it when she reported the incidents on numerous occasions.
I snuck one in there, didn’t I?”
Her employment at the property began in June 2020, and the harassment began that October when a guest hugged and kissed her without consent, saying: “I snuck one in there, didn’t I?”
The hostess was subject to at least four other instances of guests kissing her or making lewd comments. She submitted complaints to her employer each time and documented the responses. One meeting led to her manager saying: “What you do with guests, you bring upon yourself.”
One gambler even confronted her in front of hundreds of other patrons after he learned she made an official complaint about his actions.
Human resources allegedly said that the incidents were not within its remit and she was eventually let go by Rivers Casino Pittsburgh in December 2022 for alleged insubordination. The plaintiff is looking for her job back, as well as damages and reimbursement for loss of earnings.
