The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) is a behemoth of the horse racing wagering industry and it now has plans to release what it has called “the ChatGPT version of horse racing.”
simulator to try to forecast the outcome of upcoming races
It aims to enhance the customer experience by introducing something that is “digitally immersive” and allows users to use an artificial intelligence (AI) simulator to try to forecast the outcome of upcoming races.
This product will utilize accurate data from the HKJC’s backend to create a data-driven system that hopes to retain existing bettors and get new ones on board.
HKJC Executive Director of Racing Andrew Harding spoke about the product at the Asian Racing Conference and believes this type of approach is necessary for operators to not get left behind.
Other plans include having AI-generated cards for races and an augmented reality view of the performance of individual horses.
