PokerGO is now in the mobile poker app business. This week, the poker content and streaming company announced that it has launched PlayPokerGO, a social poker app, in collaboration with CaptivePlay LLC.

The poker app is a rebranding of CaptivePlay’s PokerAllDay and right now, at least in the Google Play Store, searching for “PokerAllDay” is still the way to find it. The app icon does reflect the new PlayPokerGO branding, even if it can’t be found by searching for “PlayPokerGO” at the present.

“This rebranding is more than a name change – it’s a commitment to offering players a richer, more dynamic experience that bridges the gap between watching and playing the most celebrated poker events in the world,” said Mori Eskandani, President of PokerGO.

In a press release to herald the arrival of PlayPokerGO, PokerGO said that “players can expect to see fresh updates and new features.”

“exclusive features and promotions” are to come

“The platform will integrate fresh visuals and exclusive experiences inspired by the iconic events PokerGO broadcasts, including High Stakes Poker, Super High Roller Bowl, Poker Masters, and more,” the company proclaimed, adding that “exclusive features and promotions” are to come.

Right now, it does not appear that anything new or unique has been added to the app. While this writer never used PokerAllDay, besides the PlayPokerGO branding, the app looks like your standard mobile poker game. It’s not the best-looking app, either, with graphics that look like they were grabbed from a free mobile assets pack, but that’s not overly important if the gameplay is fun.

PlayPokerGO is a “social” poker app and thus not a real-money poker platform, though as is the case with virtually every social poker app, users can purchase in-game chips – “gold” in this case – for real money. Fortunately, the app does not incessantly bombard players with cash-for-gold offers like many of its competitors do.
