New York-based prediction market provider Kalshi has appointed Donald Trump Jr. as its strategic advisor.

Kalshi announced the new role for the president-elect’s first-born son on Monday, according to CNBC. Trump Jr. took to X Monday to announce his Kalshi appointment, stating he was “proud” to be joining the firm as strategic advisor:

The young Trump also stated that, along with his family, he used Kalshi on election night to “know we won hours ahead of the fake news media.”

I immediately knew I had to contribute to their mission.”

Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour stated that Trump Jr.’s passion for new media and technology suited his firm. “Don has always been at the forefront at these types of spaces and new technologies,” the chief executive said. “He’s always been very in tune with what the American people feel and want.”

The appointment follows a trend of business leaders and brands attempting to align with the coming return to power of Donald Trump. Rush Street Interactive CEO Richard Schwartz, for instance, saluted Trump as a catalyst for US iGaming expansion after his reelection.

DraftKings, meanwhile, inked an indictative sports betting partnership with Delta Air Lines last week. Despite in-flight gambling currently being banned in the US, the sportsbook is expected to make an approach to the Trump administration to pique its interest in a potential $1.3bn market.
