The Culinary Workers Union, a trade union representing casino workers and other hospitality staff in Las Vegas, has finally reached a deal with Virgin Las Vegas after months of pickets. That deal may come just in time for fans of pornography, with the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo scheduled for January 22-25 in the off-Strip resort.

The trade union action began in November last year. Workers are seeking a pay raise and benefits to align more with pacts signed by other Vegas gaming giants last year, such as Caesars Entertainment and MGM Resorts International. Those deals came after similar strike action by the Culinary Union, which represents around 60,000 workers.

Virgin Las Vegas remained open despite the picketing. Several rounds of talks failed to develop into a deal. Virgin even accused the Culinary of running roughshod over its attempts at fair resolution and using action, such as its strike just before the Las Vegas Grand Prix, to back the casino into a corner.

Let’s ALL be there to share our victory and send a message of UNION POWER!”

According to a communication sent to union members, shared by Vital Vegas, a vote will take place on Wednesday for union members to ratify their new contracts. “Let’s ALL be there to share our victory and send a message of UNION POWER!” the message read. The union has not shared the details of the contracts yet.

The AVN Adult Entertainment Expo is an adult entertainment convention and trade show held annually in Las Vegas.
