The three suspects who allegedly stole copper wire from an NV Energy substation which caused power outages at Harry Reid International Airport and the Cosmopolitan casino sold the stolen wire for $600.

The airport’s power went out twice, causing minor flight delays in Terminal 3. The Cosmopolitan thanked patrons for their patience during the incident by giving them all a $25 gift card.

Police arrested the three men connected to the incident on Tuesday. The damage they caused cost an estimated $30,000, not a great return on investment for removing the $600 worth of wire from breaker boxes. The trio now faces grand larceny charges and their next court appearance will be on Monday.
