FanDuel’s sports betting and iGaming apps have been downloaded more times than any other operator in the US. A total of 23 million individuals downloaded the FanDuel apps between January 2020 and December 2024, according to research from Sensor Tower:
DraftKings unsurprisingly isn’t too far behind, with a big gap between the Boston-based operator and popular daily fantasy sports (DFS) platform PrizePicks in third place.
BetMGM regularly trails DraftKings and FanDuel in nationwide market share for sports betting and casino games, which is reflected by its fourth position in the rankings. The next three platforms on the list are DFS operators, showcasing the ongoing popularity of these contests.
The Penn Interactive-run ESPN Bet will likely move up the rankings in the near future, with the operator hoping to gain 20% of the overall sportsbook market share by 2027.

A notable omission from the list is Fanatics Betting and Gaming, which now has sportsbooks in 22 states. It rebranded from PointsBet in many jurisdictions after buying the company’s US operations for $225m, which is probably the reason why it didn’t crack these rankings.
