Complimentary drinks are part of the gaming floor experience at Las Vegas casinos as a way to keep patrons happy while gambling. While these perks aren’t as forthcoming as they used to be, some properties are going to extreme lengths to curtail patron offerings.

One irate sports bettor posted a picture to X showing how the El Cortez Hotel & Casino in the downtown area is not giving drink tickets to anyone placing sports bets:

As the sign says, only people placing racing bets are eligible. The X post got quite a lot of traction, with plenty of people weighing in on their own experiences.
