A few years ago, Liver King was a phenomenon that was taking the internet by storm. The shredded fitness influencer claimed that he was eating a primal diet of only raw meat to maintain his awe-inspiring physique.
confessed that he was taking steroids, roughly $11,000 worth per month
That all turned out to be a lie though. In a YouTube video released in December of 2021, the influencer whose real name is Brian Johnson confessed that he was taking steroids, roughly $11,000 worth per month. Customers who had purchased his Ancestral Supplements filed a $25m lawsuit against him, claiming he had used deceptive marketing techniques.
Since then, the influencer has remained relatively quiet. That is, until he was spotted working out on Fremont Street, downtown Las Vegas this week. An onlooker got a snap of Johnson as he dragged a sled with weights while holding kettlebells. Las Vegas Locally shared the picture:
The Liver King has made no reference to the stunt on his social media.
Johnson is believed to have reached a settlement over the multimillion-dollar lawsuit over his supplements. Cotter Law Group dismissed the class action case with prejudice on March 24, 2023. The Liver King supposedly made more than $100m in annual sales through his Ancestral Supplements at its peak.
According to the Liver King website, a Netflix documentary will soon dive into the steroid scandal involving the influencer.
