A shooting at the Aliante Casino and Hotel in North Las Vegas has resulted in one fatality. The incident happened early on Thursday morning by the cashier cage on the casino floor, which is now blocked off as investigators gather evidence:

Talking to local media, a North Las Vegas Police Department officer said that the investigation is in its very early stages. The exact sequence of events and motive are still unclear.

The Aliante is a Boyd Gaming-owned property with over 200 hotel rooms, five restaurants, and a 100,000+ square-foot gaming area.
