The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified the man shot dead at Aliante Casino and Hotel in North Las Vegas last week as Na’Onche Osborne, 23, the son of ex-North Las Vegas state senator and candidate for mayor, Patricia Ann Spearman.
fatal shooting in the cashier cage area
The coroner’s report on Saturday came after investigators blocked off the Aliante’s casino floor to gather evidence following Thursday morning’s fatal shooting in the cashier cage area.
According to the report, Osborne, who was a resident of North Las Vegas, died from “multiple gunshot wounds.”
Nevada law enforcement has identified the suspect as Aerion Warmsley, 19, who blazed a trail of destruction across the Las Vegas Valley until his arrest.
Tragic events
Pat Spearman was a Democratic state senator for Nevada’s Senate District 1 from 2012 to 2024. The Las Vegas Review-Journal cited a statement from a Spearman family attorney that said Na’Onche Osborne’s death was “an unimaginable loss for the senator and their family, and they are heartbroken.”
The attorney added that while the Spearmans were “deeply grateful for the wide outpouring of support” they requested “their privacy be respected so that they can mourn in peace.”
Spearman adopted the Osborne when he was a teenager.
According to a North Las Vegas Police Department statement, officers received reports of a shooting at Aliante at approximately 4:30am on Thursday.
The Aerion Warmsley faces one count each of open murder and robbery, both with a deadly weapon. On Thursday, as well as allegedly killing Osborne, Warmsley went on a spree of destruction in a high-speed police chase that crisscrossed the valley.

The NLVPD also accused Warmsley of carjacking at least three vehicles, causing multiple accidents, and injuring two. According to the Review-Journal, one person “was hospitalized in critical condition after the vehicle Warmsley was driving slammed into a bus stop near Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway” at a speed over 100 mph.
Trouble with guns
According to reports, Spearman’s son had prior troubles with the law. In 2022, police arrested Osborne, claiming he shot his cousin in the hip at the ex-Senator’s home.
According to an NLVPD report, Osborne shot his cousin after an argument over Osborne exhaling marijuana smoke into the face of a five-year-old boy.
Speaking about the incident two days afterward at the time, Spearman said Osborne made a “very poor decision.”
multiple threats to shoot members of the Spearman family”
Osborne pleaded guilty to the two related felony charges. In the same NLVPD report, he also allegedly made “multiple threats to shoot members of the Spearman family” while also allegedly firing a gun through a wall into an occupied room.
The police report stated Osborne had post-traumatic stress disorder with its roots in “trauma from his childhood.”
