The gambling partner of the English soccer team of which legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady has a minority ownership stake is in hot water over allegedly falsely claiming it has a Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) license.
unveiled as the team’s official Asian betting partner just a few weeks ago
God55 was unveiled as the team’s official Asian betting partner just a few weeks ago. In the press release, it said it has licenses with the MGA, the Curaçao Gaming Authority, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
After looking into the matter, iGaming Expert discovered that God55 doesn’t actually hold any of these licenses, which has sparked an MGA probe into the matter. Birmingham City could face some repercussions over this partnership, as the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has previously issued warnings about clubs that don’t conduct proper due diligence on betting partners.
This is what happened to Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest when the UKGC warned them about their respective agreements with Kaiyun Sports.
