Poker pro Doug Polk has vandalized a Tesla in a promotional video to hype his $125,000 ClubWPT Gold tournament.
Polk took to X over the weekend in response to his spoof law-breaking promo shared by Las Vegas Locally:
The high-profile poker star was interrupted while mock-vandalizing a Tesla after he’d written the letters “Fu” in black spray paint. Asked why he’d written that, Polk went into a tongue-in-cheek explanation that it was for a ClubWPT Gold promotion before clumsily painting Fun Promo across the car, calling it the “plus-EV giveaway.”
While Polk is certainly not averse to self-promotion, might there be some extra beef between him and Tesla’s Elon Musk? In January, Polk publicly called out the billionaire on social media after the discovery that Musk lied about his gaming skills in titles such as Diablo IV.
Polk stated on X that the news that Musk allegedly “lied about being a ‘top 20 gamer’ where he had someone leveling his account” hit him hard. Polk further stirred the pot, stating that gamers hold rank/level as a badge of honor and that trying to fake that while being so wealthy was “just so absurdly unnecessary” of Musk.
what else is he willing to lie about”
“I would say it also makes me wonder, if he is willing to lie about this, what else is he willing to lie about.”
Whether Musk responds to the Tesla vandalism remains to be seen. In the meantime, Polk is having fun with FBI reports of recent arrests over a growing wave of attacks on Tesla facilities, with well over a dozen incidents reported across the US in 2025.
As of late Monday, Polk’s spoof promo video on Las Vegas Locally has garnered 40,000 views.
