Wrestlemania is the biggest event every year in the WWE, and the 41st edition took place over the weekend at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The event sold out the 117,380 tickets across the two nights. The pay-per-view event was streamed on Netflix for the first time ever and marked John Cena’s final Wrestlemania event as he retires at the end of the year.

other action took place in the T-Mobile Arena just off the Strip

While the main event took place on Saturday and Sunday, other action took place in the T-Mobile Arena just off the Strip on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. These smaller shows were also sell-outs in their respective arena that can hold 20,000 people:

Although there is likely crossover from night to night with the same people purchasing tickets, the success of the weekend’s action in Las Vegas shows the popularity of WWE. It’s only the second time that Wrestlemania took place in the city, following its debut in 1993 at Caesars Palace.

The economic impact of this event is expected to exceed $500m for the area, which makes it an attractive proposition for other major cities across the country looking to stimulate their local economies.
