Max Scherzer is an esteemed baseball player, named as an All-Star on eight occasions and a two-time World Series champion.

He revealed on a recent podcast appearance that he often gambled on the plane when on the way to games with teammates. This got to such a point in 2015 when he was with the Washington Nationals that he had to start signing extra autograph trading cards to make up for his losses:

He had to sign about 2,000 cards to break even. The 40-year-old is still playing pro baseball, currently signing out with the Toronto Blue Jays.
