Slots superstar is back

Wild Toro returns and he’s brought a whole bunch of new stars and multiple new features accompanied by the striking, Pixar-quality animations that have become a beloved hallmark of Elk Studios’ award-winning slot series.

so confident after giving matadors hell since 2016

Wild Toro III dropped Monday, with the toothsome hero so confident after giving matadors hell since 2016 in franchise spinoffs from Asgard to Egypt, that he’s brought his three nephews to the reels for this dynamic showdown in the Spanish town where it all began.

Under pressure, the matador calls in his own reinforcements, with the storyline introducing a cast of new characters that pack multiple new mechanics into the series’ ten-year anniversary tribute.

One of many standouts features in WTIII is the option for players to choose their preferred volatility level of 6-10 or 8-10, offering normal or high volatility, respectively.

Walking wilds run riot

The original Wild Toro in 2016 introduced the muscled hero as the only walking wild, then gave the matador that ability in Wild Toro II. Now in Wild Toro III, Toro, his three nephews Los Teritos, and all the new matadors are walking wilds, giving the threequel serious gameplay power.

While the complexity of WTIII may daunt casual players and those who preferred the simplicity of WTI – which won the 2017 EGR Operators Awards Game of the Year – those looking for fun, action-packed gameplay and a max win ceiling of 25,000x are in for a real treat.

wilds, walking wilds, and multiplier wilds

The 5×4 charging slot with an expanding grid is packed with features from wilds, walking wilds, and multiplier wilds, to a bonus, super bonus, buy-in options, and a bet threshold sliding from $0.20 to $100 per spin.

WTIII comes with seven wilds, with the star Toro only appearing on the far right reel, from where his famous grid-walking charges spin out, while generating re-spins and an increased multiplier for each step taken.

The three Toritos wilds are sticky and trigger respins and grid expansions. Each one has a unique booster triggered when they meet their proud, muscled mentor.

The matador and his two new accomplices meanwhile – one cowardly, the other regular – are also wilds that land on the three middle reels, moving left and activating re-spins for each step taken. When two or more matadors land and Toro is also on the scene, the Toro Goes Loco feature triggers a charge that knocks them off the reels to leave a trail of wild symbols in his wake.

Elk Studios has also added a buy-in range dubbed X-iter with five options topping out with a 250x bet super bonus (Day), or Midnight Bullfight (Night).

Game changers

Press the sun and moon button to switch between Night or Day volatility modes, the former high, the latter medium. The one spin Midnight Bullfight bonus game feature is only activated in Night mode and only brings regular symbols and wilds to the reels. Land five and the reels can turn wild top to bottom, with multipliers adding to the excitement of this 250,000x max win hunting zone.

The other bonus round can be reached from the base game. It’s triggered when Toro collects a Golden Rose, the re-spin feature that only spins out special symbols that brings either instant prizes or enhances different boosters.

Walking wilds remain the key feature of WTIII, with the feature-packed gameplay offering an explosive player experience with two volatility modes, seven different wilds, and paylines from 178 to 421. The result is that Elk has given its beloved franchise a meticulously crafted and strategized upgrade that stands out as a genuine evolution of the Wild Toro universe, while retaining all the charm of the original.
