BGT...is that BGT as in Britain’s Got Talent? It sure is. You’ve seen the gameshow, loled at the daft things its entrants will do for fame and have then secretly wished you could follow in their footsteps. Well now you can...sort of. You can play at the casino based on the gameshow, and that’s kind of the same thing, isn’t it? Well, the two are related at least. If you’re wondering why we live in a world where there’s a Britain’s Got Talent casino, you should ask the operator of this site. They’re the ones who’ve crafted a whole bunch of ITV-based casinos including Love Island Games and The X Factor Games.
BGT Games is a clone of these sites, or vice-versa, so there’s nothing new to see here that you can’t find at the other sites. The concept of devising casinos based around popular ITV shows makes sense in that there’s clearly an audience for this sort of stuff. But why hasn’t there been any sort of effort put into actually making the site somehow tie in with the show it’s based on? Sure, there’s a logo at the top of the page, but that’s where it all ends. Admittedly, BGT Games isn’t the only site where you’ll witness this, but it certainly feels like the Britain’s Got Talent theme hasn’t been fully implemented.
BGT Games is a site that works reasonably well on mobile and better on desktop. On the homepage, it boasts of how “Everyone’s favourite talent show has now been SLINGO-FIED!” What? Ah, that’ll be a reference to the fact that BGT Games, like its sister sites, offers a variant on bingo and slots called slingo. It combines the best of both worlds. Supposedly. If you’re not particularly into the idea of that, there are regular video slots that can be played, but no standalone bingo alas. The site is operated by Bear Group Ltd who are a subsidiary of Gaming Realms PLC. They’re listed on the London Stock Exchange, which suggests they’re a reasonably sized company.
Regardless of size, their licensed variants of ITV Broadcasting shows isn’t the finest thing they’ve ever put their name to. The company are licensed and regulated by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. If you need to get hold of a member of the customer support team, there’s live chat as an option or you could try calling the UK number provided or sending an email. There’s also a Help button in the bottom right of the screen. Clicking on it will give you the ability to type in the query you’re looking for, but don’t count on the search results being remotely related to your query. That’s just the way this site works. Or doesn’t as the case may be.
When you’re ready to sign up and make your first deposit at BGT Games, you can do so using credit or debit card such as Visa, MasterCard or Maestro. Withdrawal requests could take 10 seconds or 10 years to be processed; there’s no way to tell because this information isn’t provided on the site. It’s also possible that you might have more deposit and withdrawal options than credit or debit card, but again it’s hard to tell. If there were a banking page that provided all of this information it would be simple enough to ascertain this, but instead your only option is to try something like live chat and ask these questions. The point in designing a website is to provide visitors with information, but there’s no attempt at doing so at BGT Games.
There’s a lot of fanfare about the promotions in store at BGT Games; the page dedicated to them makes a big song and a dance about how you’re in the right place for learning about current promotions, regular promos, tournaments, bonuses, giveaways and much more. This all sounds great but unfortunately there’s none of that to be found here.
The only thing to be found is information on a welcome bonus of 100%. Deposit at least £10 to claim this offer; the maximum amount you can can claim is £100. It seems odd that there isn’t anything else going on in terms of promotions. There hasn’t even been an attempt made to tie the promotion in with the theme of the site. Then again, from a site that has a Twitter account but has never tweeted, what do you expect?
Type | Amount | Match | Playthrough | Claim |
---|---|---|---|---|
1st Deposit | £100 | 100% | 80x | Claim Bonus |
What do you prefer, slots or slingo? If you’ve never played slingo you don’t have to answer that, but if you’ve yet to have the pleasure, it’s all yours when you sign up at BGT Games. The merits of slingo are dubious, even if it’s given the big push here, but even if you’re not convinced, there are other options that look far more appealing. Take Game of Thrones for example, which is available in both 243 ways and 15-payline versions. There are quite a few other licensed games too, like Jurassic World which faithfully recreates much of the magic and mayhem of the movie.
Because NetEnt are one of the developers providing their wares, there are some excellent slots to be found here. Beautiful games like Butterfly Stax are about as good as it gets, while perennially popular slots such as Rainbow Riches can be found alongside the likes of Ghostbusters Triple Slime and Scruffy Duck. BGT Games might not be the best looking site on the web but it’s certainly got a few things to like about it, and the slots are one of them. These are accompanied by a few other categories of games to pad things out. You’ve got a reasonable number of table games for example with an emphasis on blackjack and roulette. There’s also a bunch of scratch cards and other instant win games such as Diamond Red where you can win up to £150,000.
BGT Games is a reasonable casinos whose games, slots in particular, are its best part. The trouble is, there’s just not enough quality or information elsewhere on the site. If you decided to sign up here, you’d likely find all the information you needed about deposits, withdrawals and other matters once logged in or worst case by contacting customer services. It’s a hassle though and one that’s completely unnecessary. Why can’t they just publish this information on their site in the first place? At least there’s a few convenient ways of getting hold of the customer support team. There are loads of other things that are wrong with BGT Games: dead Twitter account; thumbnail images of games that are too small to easily view; not nearly enough deposit options; a lack of bonuses.
The promotions page is one of the worst on the site, promising so much but delivering nothing other than a 100% welcome offer. There’s so much more that could have been done here. If they were enterprising, the operator of this site could have even tried to tie some of the bonus offers in with the Britain’s Got Talent theme. It’s easy to forget, amidst all the games and stuff that there’s actually an ITV tie-in going on here technically. BGT Games could and should be so much better.
