Captain Charity is a site with a lot of potential. Sadly it doesn't live up to this potential whatsoever. The problem becomes apparent the moment you try to load the site in the Chrome browser and it doesn't load. This is a major issue for an online casino trying to attract as many players as possible. Captain Charity will load in the Firefox browser thankfully but seems to struggle in other browsers that aren't reliant on Flash. This is a severe issue and one that will hopefully be remedied as soon as possible.
If you can get the site to load you will be greeted by a superhero descending dramatically to save the day with an epic alpine mountain backdrop with pine trees and a clear blue lake. It certainly makes for an eye-catching opener and is an interesting concept for a site. In other respects, this site doesn't fare quite so well. For one thing the typography isn't particularly nice, nor is it particularly well matched and the further down the homepage you scroll the worse things start to look. That's not to say that Captain Charity is a bad site, merely that it is not nearly as good as it could be.
Captain Charity was founded in 2017 and is operated by Captain Charity Ltd. They’re a company who are based in the UK although it is Aspire Global International Ltd, a Malta-based company, who provide the software powering the games that operate on the website. The site holds a licence issued by the Malta Gaming Authority as well as one by the UK Gambling Commission. The site is designed to be mobile-friendly although given that it doesn't even load on desktop it is debatable just how user-friendly this site is.
On the About page, you will read all the usual stuff about how the site is committed to ensuring fair play along with the usual cliches such as “When you win, we win”. You’ll also learn here that 128-bit SSL is used to safeguard customer data and that responsible gaming is encouraged. Continuing with the cliches and you will read that the site is committed to CARE which is an acronym for Customers Are Really Everything. Should you require customer support, it is available from 8am to 1am. There is a UK phone number provided and you can get in touch by live chat or email.
There is a clearly laid out banking page available on the site which is good to see. What is less good to see is the horrible clashing colours that have been used throughout Captain Charity, which look especially garish on the banking page. The red and yellow combined with the blue of the sidebar really don't go together well. On a brighter note, there is a reasonable selection of deposit options available and the site accepts currency that includes the Pound, Euro, Australian dollar and Swedish Krona. You can deposit funds using methods such as MasterCard, Visa, Skrill, Neteller, Zimpler and a range of other regional options. Funds will deposit instantly in most cases except for wire transfer.
The fastest time you will receive your withdrawals is within three business days although some methods including card can take as much as 8 business days. The logos that are displayed for payment providers on the banking page really don't go well with the site at all and the further you delve into Captain Charity, the more the shortcomings of this site start to show up. On first glance this site looks slick and welcoming but on its secondary pages it looks like something out of the 90s.
The casino bonus as Captain Charity is an offer worth up to £200. This is presumably a 100% welcome offer but isn't explicitly stated. You will also be awarded 100 free spins. There are a few terms and conditions applied and in fact when you investigate further you’ll learn that the 100 free spins are in fact split across your first four deposits. In fact you'll only get 25 free spins initially and all bonus cash is subject to a 3x wagering requirement before it can be withdrawn. As for the bonuses that are available on your subsequent deposits, this stands at 50% on your second deposit worth up to £50, and then a 25% bonus on your third and fourth. In total, that means there is £200 to be claimed. This isn't a great offer and it certainly isn't going to attract high rollers.
Type | Amount | Match | Playthrough | Claim |

Welcome Bonus | £200 + 100 Free Spins | 100% | 3x | Claim Bonus |
That being said, Captain Charity does offer a monthly VIP cashback scheme where the more you wager the more you will receive back. There are multiple tiers to this labelled as platinum, premium and prestige. Precious little details are given out about this scheme however despite there being an entire page on the site dedicated to it. Players are encouraged to contact the personal account manager to find out more. Sorry but this isn't good enough. It appears that there are in fact more tiers to the VIP scheme on the site going by a secondary VIP page though where will learn that there are in fact 8 levels with players starting off as new members before going to bronze and climbing from there. These comprise the usual bonuses such as faster cash out and the occasional free play Sunday.
Pages load extremely slowly at this site including the games lobby, with a spinning colour wheel that seems to last forever. When it does load you'll find that you're looking at the usual slots that can be found at all British online casinos such as Starburst and Fruity Friends. Most of these games look crap it must be said and there is very little here that might invite anyone to sign up. There is simply nothing here that hasn't been seen and done before. There is a small live casino where you can play a selection of games fronted by real dealers that includes baccarat, roulette, blackjack and a couple of varieties of these.
Captain Charity is a site that is best avoided. It is a site which looks like it has some potential to begin with however once you investigate the site further there is clearly nothing of interest here and nothing new. Indeed, this site is less functional than many sites that were created several years earlier. You wouldn't think to look at it that this was a recent creation.
There is a small selection of games, a reasonable range of deposit options and enough here to get you through a few hours of play at best. Ultimately though you're unlikely to want to sign up at this average casino when there are so many better sites out there on the web.
