Linka Chips

If you weren’t already aware: Link2Win is looking like the very next big thing in online casino play and iGaming. It may be a production house still in its first stages of development; it may still not yet have completely secured the patent on its intriguing new system, but there’s very little question that this is a company that has become a pretty big talking point at all levels of the industry over the course of the past year or so – and for all of the right reasons to boot.

It’s one thing (and a remarkable, exciting thing at that!) when a developer brings out a new game that completely revolutionises a particular genre within iGaming, but another altogether when they invent their own system and format entirely. Yet, that’s exactly what Link2Win have done with their free Linka Chips title. Let’s find out more.

An Apt Theme

Anyone who has been lucky enough to jump onto the Link2Win wave up until now, during this initial stage of their inevitable rise to stardom, will know very well how mobile-optimised and fully compatible their games are. In fact, some have gone as far as to say that the online Linka Chips console is among the very best iGaming releases to-date on this front.

That being said, all fanatical praise of the enticing 3D graphics etc. on display aside, what this game offers up as far as the theme is concerned could do with a little injection of life. If we’re being brutally honest, we’re all dog tired of the flaccidity of the classic casino room look, right? While it may function very smoothly (which is probably the main thing), while everything may be within very easy reach, there’s still a lack of character in the presentation here.

An Unconventional Approach

Free Linka Chips’ graphics may be great, but those drawn towards placing a wager around their iGaming action will not be disappointed in what they find on offer here either. This is a fairly high volatility game that packs enough of a punch to win over even the most seasoned high limit, battle-hardened players out there.

In terms of function, it’s not that tricky a system to understand. Essentially, it functions around a table of 25 separate empty cells as opposed to reels containing symbols. Once all of the necessary measures have been taken in terms of setting limits and the like, the most important part of this process being the players own selection of their desired SuperWin number, random numbers are generated and assigned to each of the empty cells in order. The object of each round of play is to create links between numbers on the table which correspond with one another – the number of links made by the time that all of the cells are populated resulting in a differing prize, or of course a lack thereof.

Five or fewer links created is bad news and will result in no prize, whereas 5 or fewer links created but a match on the SuperWin (it being the last drawn) will result in x1.5 of the players stake being awarded. Of course, the amount of money on the table increases greatly in relation to the amount wagered.

Does It Pay?

With a stake range from a mere £1 all the way up to £20, we’re looking at a very wide range of variance here. The maximum win (17 links at the max bet) will yield £100,000 which is about where this console peaks. The range of play afforded really is brilliant and makes the game more than suitable for a wide spread of gamblers out there.

In terms of RTP, Linka Chips sits nicely in the pocket somewhere around 90% - making it a very attractive proposition in yet another way. If treated with respect, this thing will certainly do its fair share to add to your pot.

What’s the Takeaway?

It’s very hard to fault any feature of this game aside from the unoriginality of its wider theme. This isn’t even a downside if you happen to be into the old school casino look, but objectively speaking it is rather tired nonetheless.

Aside from crafting yet another winning title from arguably the best new iGaming format to have arrived in recent years (time will indeed tell), the Link2Win team have delivered in Linka Chips a console that stretches the typical mould to provide players with a genuinely unique prospect. There’s no point lying and stating that this is the strongest linka title to have made an appearance at this extremely early stage, it’s not. But it’s definitely worth noting that, at this point, all that really acts to separate each from its predecessor. It’s just a shame this one fails to deliver a knock-out blow.
