Sweet Linka

Sometimes all you want from your iGaming experience is an opportunity to truly zone out and enjoy the experience; nothing more, nothing less. Achieving this can often be rather difficult, what with all of the themes out there – slots and otherwise – bidding for the most competitive version of you to shine through and grab each and every opportunity to get ahead by the horns. Often, we don’t realise it, but many games are designed with little else in mind. The whole idea is to get you worked up and make irrational moves in testy circumstances.

One game that you’d be rightly chastised for claiming was on-board with this deception is the new online Sweet Linka from new kids on the black Link2Win. Many are yet to be introduced to this firm, let alone their world-beating new gaming format that’s so new that the patent’s still pending, but that’s definitely going to change in the next 12 months.

Soon, online casinos far and wide will be filled to the brim with their products. The strength of their Linka format is not in doubt, and the free Sweet Linka title is nothing if not evidence of that fact. Based in the Isle of Man, they’re bringing something to our shared table that’s likely to capture the hearts and minds of a huge proportion of iGaming devotees still at it here in 2017. Let’s find out more, shall we?

Firstly, the Theme

Free Sweet Linka is one of those games that immediately puts you at ease with their aesthetics. It’s bright, brash (in a good way), vivid and insanely colourful. With full-scale browser and device compatibility, it’s also one of the most versatile consoles of its kind on the market at the time being.

3D graphics are of course a staple nowadays, as such this title provides them by the bucket-load. Each game feature is full, crisp, clear and very well-defined. Before we’ve even got around to figuring out just what is going here, we’re already smitten by the way this game settles punters in. Welcoming would be a drastic understatement.

What’s the Idea?

For those of you who have made it this far into the review without a shred of knowledge as to what ‘Linka’ is – well done. Know that your wait has come to an end, as we progress together to take apart this wonderful new premise in as accurate a manner as possible.

As opposed to reels, Linka is based around a 5x5 grid comprised of 25 independent and vacant cells. Once a player has selected their wager amount etc. play begins as the game allocates numbers at random to each of the empty cells. The object of the game is to end up with as many links as possible. A link is formed when two adjacent cells – set next to each other either up, down, left, right or diagonally – feature numbers in sequence. The number of links formed by the time all of the cells have been populated determines the scale of the payouts that can be reaped.

Additionally, a player may select (or failing that, have automatically assigned to them) a ‘SuperWin’ number before each round begins. Once selected, the numbers are drawn and in the event that the last figure drawn is a match with the SuperWin number, a range of bonuses may be applied proportionate to the number of links made in the round. It’s all rather simple once you’ve played through once or twice.

Does It Kick?

No matter the specifics of any competitive online game, regardless of the theme at play, the style of game being played and all else – the most important aspect for most is always the volatility. Before digging in and trying a new game for the first time, all most people want to know is the kind of scope it offers as far as real cash play is concerned.

In the event that you only ever play for real money, you’ll have no qualms after a round or two of Sweet Linka. Though it may look cute, it’s actually got quite a fearsome RTP on it. Good news for all the high limit maniacs out there!

The Long and the Short

Linka may just be the best new gaming format in recent memory. Likewise, Sweet Linka may just be the top game of its kind. If that doesn’t put things into perspective in the space of a mere two sentences then nothing will.

If you’re looking for a new game which not only looks great, performs well, pays out at a reasonable rate and provides an opportunity to get your hands on some real money, but gives you an opportunity to try something truly fresh – look no further than Sweet Linka. These games are coming for us all whether we like it or not, so we should all at least try to get on board with them!
