Deep blue
Lucky Pearl does not bring any original graphic element to the famous underwater theme of the game.
As such, the reels appear to be floating below the surface of the sea. The sun rays are filtering through the top of the screen. No details in the background, just the blue of the sea and the occasional bubble.
The ocean is a quiet place, and so is Lucky Pearl. Only a few sound effects come to disturb the calm. Overall, Lucky Pearl looks and feels like a very classic underwater slot game. Let’s move on to the gameplay itself in the next section.
Finding the sunken treasures
Lucky Pearl sticks to a classic and easy gameplay, which will be familiar to players who have already had the occasion to get their hands on other Kajot Gaming creations.
You will play on five spinning reels, with three symbols on each at the end of every spin. In addition, the gameplay features nine paylines to bet on, which is a classic but rather small setup. To win, you must land symbol combinations on one or more paylines. After each win, a mini game will start automatically. Guess the colour of a hidden card to double your winnings instantaneously, and you can keep on playing for as long as you would like. A wrong answer will take you back to the base game, but without your newly acquired coins.
All the commands you need are located at the bottom of the game screen. Use them to adjust your bet per line and start up the reels. The Autostart feature will let the reels spin loose for as long as you wish. Remember that betting more means increasing your potential future cash rewards, so keep that in mind if you want to maximise your earnings.
A look at the paytable
Lucky Pearl features eight basic symbols in total to get you started. These icons can be split into two different groups.
The first group contains various symbols inspired by playing cards. Starting from number 9 and ranging all the way up to the Ace, these classic symbols are yet again the least valuable of the game. And as always, they will appear more frequently on the reels to compensate for that fact.
The other group contains only two symbols: a Seahorse and a Sea Turtle. They are rarer on the reels, but worth your attention given the high rewards they can yield.
Special features
To spice things up a little, Lucky Pearl contains a few special symbols that bring a little more excitement to the mix.
The green Joker icon is able to replace any basic symbol to help you score more winning combinations on screen. Combinations containing one or more Jokers will have their value doubled automatically. Combinations of only Jokers are also the most valuable of the entire game, so keep your eyes peeled for them at all times.
The Shell is a Scatter symbol, which means you do not have to line them up to win with them. Three or more Shells trigger a Bonus game, where your goal will be to flip over other seashells to win cash prizes, multipliers and perhaps even retrigger the whole Bonus round all over again.
Pearl’s a safe bet
Lucky Pearl is a classic video slot game, with a classic theme and a classic gameplay. On one hand, providing a familiar universe can be a safe bet for a development theme, as players will feel right at home from the start. And it is certainly the case with Lucky Pearl as well, aficionados of the genre will be pleased.
