Betting in Rome
Before you can start all the fun in the ancient city, you need to select your stake. There are 40 paylines in the game but you don’t have to play all of them. Simply click on the plus and minus symbols to choose from 1, 5, 10, 20 or 40 paylines.

The highest paying symbol is the Caesar, who awards 125 coins for 5 matching symbols on the reels. The second symbols to watch out for are the grinning Roman soldier and the lady playing a lute who both pay 100 coins for 5 symbols, while the war ship and Roman bank symbol both pay 75 coins for 5 symbols.
Next up is the winged horse, which pays 62.50 coins for 5 symbols, with the scroll and ancient pot paying 50 coins for 5 symbols. The lowest paying symbols in the game are the high cards, which pay from 37.50 to 25 coins for 5 matching symbols on the reels.
Wild Signs Give Extra Features
The wild symbol in the game is the sign post with ‘wild’ helpfully written on it. These stand in for all the other symbols in the game, except the scatter, to create more potential winning combinations. There are a few other features associated with this symbol to give more potential payouts.
Whichever symbol the wild signpost is pointing at when it settles on the reel also becomes a wild symbol, while any wild signpost appearing on reels 4 and 5 awards a multiplier of up to 5x.
