Bingo 37

Have you ever wondered to yourself why roulette couldn’t be a little bit more like bingo? Our guess is: no, none of you have ever had this thought. But someone at InBet clearly did, as this seems to be the exact premise behind their game, Bingo 37, available at many online casinos.

If you’re wondering how these two games could be mashed together, the answer is simple: throw in some balls, and any game can feel a bit more like a bingo drawing than it did before. But make no mistake: despite the slightly different theming, this is first and foremost a version of roulette, and if you’ve played that game before you should have no problem adjusting to the slight changes that this version presents.

Have a Ball

When you first load up the Bingo 37 screen, you’ll immediately realize what this game is. You’ll be treated to a nearly exact replica of the European roulette layout, complete with all of the bets that are customarily found at one of these tables. The only change is that the green zero is replaced by a 37, which has no functional impact on gameplay.

The screen is set up in a simple format that makes it easy to follow the action. The top of the playing area features the last five numbers that were drawn, with a longer history appearing on the right. The one way in which this game is different than a traditional roulette table is the fact that you’ll watch the result come from a simulated lottery hopper in the upper-right corner of the screen, rather than using a wheel. The results are still random, of course, so again, this doesn’t really change the way gameplay works.

The bottom of the screen features everything you need to set your bets. There’s a slider that changes how much each chip you place is worth, along with buttons that allow you to make a number of changes: you can remake the same wagers as you placed on the last drawing by using the rebet option, double all of your bets, undo your last action, or clear the entire board and try again.

Drawings on a fixed schedule in this game, meaning you’ll have a limited time to place your bets and that you cannot trigger new rounds on your own. After each number is drawn, you’ll have a short period to review the results, then 40 seconds to put down any wagers you like. The next drawing will then take place, after which winning bets will be paid out.

Learning the Game

If you’re not already familiar with roulette, then the types of bets you can make here will require a bit of explanation. The object of the game is to predict which of 37 numbers will be drawn – in the case of Bingo 37, this is done with balls, unlike with a wheel in the more traditional form of the game.

Players have a wide range of options when it comes to making their predictions. You can try to guess the exact number that will come next, or you can make bets that cover multiple numbers – some covering nearly half the table at once. The payouts vary on each of these wagers, depending on the odds of one of your numbers coming up.

Let’s take a look at the various options available to you. Essentially, all bets pay out at odds that would be fair if there were only 36 balls in play; the presence of an extra ball is what gives the house its only advantage. Potential options include the following:

  • Single: Bet on a single number by placing chips directly on it. This wins at odds of 35-1.
  • Split: Bet on two numbers by placing chips between those two on the layout. If either number is drawn, you’ll win 17-1 on your wager.
  • Street: Bet on a row of three numbers by putting your money at the end of that row. If any of those three are the winner, your bet pays 11-1.
  • Corner: Bet on a block of four numbers by placing your chips at the intersection at the center of them. This option will earn you an 8-1 payout.
  • Six Line: This option covers two rows, or six numbers in total, and can be made in the spot at the bottom of the layout where two rows border each other. If any of these numbers win, you’ll be paid 5-1.
  • Columns: These bets cover one of three columns, each of which include 12 numbers. If any of these are drawn, you’ll win at 2-1 odds.
  • Dozens: These cover three groups of a dozen numbers each: 1-12, 13-24, or 25-36. If a ball in your range wins, you’ll get a 2-1 payout.
  • Odd/Even: Each of these wagers cover all of the appropriate numbers, and pay out at even money (1-1) should you win. Note that 37 is not a winner for the “odd” option.
  • Red/Black: These bets cover all of the balls that are of the appropriate color – 18 each. Once again, this bet pays out at even money. Once again, you’ll want to note that the 37 ball is green, and won’t pay out either of these bets.
  • 1-18/19-36: These options cover the specified range of balls. Should a number that is in that range win, you’ll get paid even money on your bet.

Traditionally, roulette games make a distinction between inside and outside bets, with different minimum bets required in each of these areas. However, that’s not an issue in Bingo 37; here, you are allowed to place whatever bets you like within the limits of your table.

A Slight Twist, But Nothing New

With the information we’ve presented, you should be able to tell that this is essentially just another way of playing roulette. There’s really no reason for the change to a drawing system rather than using a wheel, but there’s nothing wrong with it, either: if players are more comfortable or more interested thanks to that change, then we’re all for it. On the other hand, if it feels inauthentic to some, there are plenty of traditional roulette games out there on the Internet to try instead.

The most important thing here is that InBet made this game using the much more favorable European rules rather than the double zero American roulette version of the layout. That keeps the house edge to a minimum, making this a perfectly good substitute for some of the best roulette games on the web. If you tend to enjoy such games, but want something that’s just a bit out of the ordinary, then Bingo 37 should provide you the action you’re looking for.
