Scary Slot
The Slot is not exactly the most imaginative of titles in the world of slot machines, and we have struggled to work out exactly what the title has to do with the theme. We mean, we're all up for a meta-slot which had a theme about slot machines, like a slot within a slot if you will. But this game makes no such attempt at self-aware post-modernism, instead opting to give spinners a visceral fright with its slasher horror style design and gory symbols.
Upon the blood-stained reels, players will find everything that you might need if you were a psychopathic killer a-la Mike Myers, Freddy Kreuger or Jason Voorhees. There are meat hooks, syringes, meat cleavers, chainsaws, sharp fangs, dismembered fingers, eyeballs, scary masks and blood splattered dolls. As you can probably imagine, this game is not for the feint of heart.
Gruesome Graphics
As far as graphics go, The Slot is as dark and gruesome as you might expect, with an aesthetic that you might more easily associate with an old-school video game like Resident Evil than a video slot machine. The background to the reels is a canvas of bright red and sinister black while the symbols themselves have a creepy, if not a bit out-dated, quality about them.
In truth, the appearance of this slot machine is far from being at the cutting edge of video slot design. There are no 3D graphics and no notable animations to report back on. Unfortunately, this makes the game seem a little bit more like a cheap novelty costume from the pound store than a truly terrifying horror experience.

There is no denying that The Slot is a unique game with its gruesome gory theme and high staking options. Unfortunately, however, there are many downsides to this slot machine.
