Noel Edmonds has got a lot to answer for. Firstly for Noel’s House Party, way back in the 1990s, then for Mr Blobby and that infernal tune and then for Deal Or No Deal. As gameshows go, it’s actually not bad. It’s a reasonable form of televisual entertainment. But why oh why is is lauded as if it were a cutting edge invention that has forever changed the way we consume pop culture? It’s hard to go anywhere these days on the web without encountering some sort of Deal Or No Deal tie-in. Casinos are particularly ripe for this sort of licensing, and we’ve already seen a number of Deal Or No Deal slots and scratch cards released.
Now it’s time for Deal Or No Deal Casino, a site which has been packaged in a manner that resembles those famous red boxes belonging to the banker. The site comes courtesy of the same developer who released Love Island Games casino, which was another ITV Broadcasting tie-in. It was an atrocity of a site and given that Deal Or No Deal Casino is a clone of it, signs aren’t promising. The featured image that appears at the top of this particular site is at least fit for purpose and actually promotes the site, specifically the 100% casino bonus that’s to be claimed.
Deal Or No Deal Casino is operated by Bear Group Ltd who are a subsidiary of Gaming Realms PLC who are licensed and regulated by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. Their registered office can be found in Le Val on Alderney, just for the record. The company are listed on the London Stock Exchange, presumably off the value assigned to some of their other business interests, as it’s hard to imagine they’re getting rich off the back of Deal Or No Deal Casino and Love Island Games.
If you like gambling – and given that you’re reading this review it’s a safe bet – it’s always a fun game to click on the social media links. What do you think: will the casino’s Twitter and Facebook pages be well maintained hubs of activity or will they be a desolate wasteland? Based on this particular operator’s track record at other casinos, you’re not being offered great odds on their social being abandoned – 1/20 is the best the banker will offer you. Let’s find out...two clicks later and it’s confirmed: Deal Or No Deal Casino’s social media accounts are as dead as Mr Blobby. They’ve never tweeted and have just two followers and last posted on Facebook in February 2017. What a joke.
Like its sister sites, Deal Or No Deal Casino is so badly designed that there’s no easy way of finding out what your deposit and withdrawal options are. Minimum deposits; maximum withdrawals; payment options; processing time. You’ll find none of that here. There is a help bar in the bottom right of the screen but it’s useless. Type words into it and it just spits out unrelated spaghetti that doesn’t remotely relate to what you’re trying to find. Based on the payment provider logos that can be made out amidst a very crowded footer, you’ll find that you can deposit funds with MasterCard, Visa and Maestro.
There’s a 100% welcome bonus worth up to £100 to be claimed when you sign up at Deal Or No Deal Casino. This cash is subject to a certain wagering requirement before it can be withdrawn. It stands at 80x in the case of slots, which is a ridiculously high requirement. There is no way in hell you’ll have a penny of that bonus cash left after being forced to gamble that many times with your money. This bonus cash serves its purpose only for getting a feel for the slots.
Type | Amount | Match | Playthrough | Claim |
---|---|---|---|---|
1st Deposit | up to £100 | 100% | 80x | Claim Bonus |
There’s certainly no enrichment to be had even if you’re fortunate enough to win a sum while playing slots with your bonus cash. You’d be better off simply playing the slots for fun if you’re eager to try out the games. The maximum win you can generate with your bonus cash is also capped at £500. Since this seems to be the only promotion in place at Deal Or No Deal Casino, there’s no reason why you might want to stick around here.
Slingo, for the uninitiated, is what happens when you combine slots and bingo. This sounds like crossing the streams, like a terrible thing that should never be done, but not only is it regularly done at Deal Or No Deal Casino, but it’s also performed at the other ITV-licensed sites operated by this company. Whether offering slingo counts as a USP, or at least as a novelty is debatable; it’s true that you don’t see a lot of casinos offering these games, but for good reason it’s gotta be said. Choose from games like Pigasus, Magic Mine, Slingo Extreme, Deal Or No Deal Slingo (naturally), Slingo X-Factor, Slingo Britain’s Got Talent and a few more.
If you’re more of a traditionalist who would settle simple for playing some regular slots, Deal Or No Deal Casino has got you covered. There’s a vast range of video slots to be played here and they should work on mobile as well as on tablet and desktop. Most of the games are average to poor admittedly, but there are a few good titles lurking in there. You might wanna start with the branded games such as Jurassic World before advancing to other acclaimed titles such as Siberian Storm. From there it’s alas all downhill as you’re forced to contend with an increasingly kitsch and cruddy selection of games. Thankfully there’s a selection of table games to round things off which includes a few competent titles; a good bit of blackjack, roulette and poker mostly.
If you’re a huge fan of Deal Or No Deal, then it’s understandable why you might be interested in a site such as Deal Or No Deal Casino. Once you actually scrutinise it however it’s hard to imagine why you would want to spend any longer here than is necessary. This is a rugged site which promises very little and keeps its promise. You can deposit funds by credit card and nothing more. Probably. There’s customer support available here. Probably. The operators of this site have every intention of resurrecting their dormant social media channels when the time’s right. Probably. There’s just no way of knowing the answer to any of this stuff.
The design of Deal Or No Deal Casino is poor, most of the games are average or poor and the welcome bonus is especially poor. Do ITV not care what happens with their brand name and with the TV shows they own the right to? It’s a strange one. There really seems to be no quality control here and no attempts to make this site stand out from the competition. It’s a poor show all round.
