Zombie Bar

Zombie Bar Slot Machine

Beware of the living dead! Their bite is deadly and once infected there is no turning back.

Zombie Bar starts off from the rather odd premise that an ordinary schoolboy would wander in the sewers to discover an underground bar frequented by zombies. Nobody would believe him, probably, if not for the polaroid camera he appears to carry everywhere.

How does all this exactly translate into a video slot game? The developers at SkillOnNet took the challenge headfirst and the result is nothing but original, as with another recent online slot based on Zombies, Better off Ed. Stick around for a full review of Zombie Bar, featuring all the little quirks of the game!

Lost Under the City

As we have mentioned before, the premise of Zombie Bar is quite original and represents a new take on the whole zombie theme – zombies who are notably absent from the set at first glance. The reels stand tall behind the abandoned bar, complete with empty cocktail glasses and chairs. The protagonist of the game stands by the exit, from where the only source of daylight seems to be coming. The 3D animated character adds a lot to the overall atmosphere of the game.

The music adds on to the gloomy atmosphere, and helps create a deliciously creepy set for the game. Perhaps a bit static, but who knows who – or what – is lurking in the shadows…

Staying Alive

You will have to use your brain to win big at Zombie Bar, or else the evil inhabitants of the game world might just eat it.

You have five spinning reels and a total of 50 paylines to bet on, which leaves room for a lot of winning possibilities! Simply click on the various commands located at the bottom of the game screen in order to adjust your settings to match your own style. Once you have chosen the coin denomination (between 0.01 and 5 credits) and the number of coins you want to bet (one, two or three), hit the Spin command and cross your fingers! Winning combinations occurring on any of the permanently activated 50 paylines trigger a corresponding cash prize, which is added to your credit total automatically. The Bet Max shortcut is there for the boldest players who like to go all-in, and the Auto Roll function also enables you to let the reels spin on their own for a predetermined number of spins, while keeping the bet constant.

What’s on the Menu?

The reel symbols of Zombie Bar are surprisingly plain and simple, but as long as you are not on the menu, it still is good news!

We begin with the classic card-inspired symbols: the number 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace. They are worth the least in the game, but will appear frequently on the reels so perhaps several combinations will add up to reach greater value!

The last three basic symbols are somehow more linked to the post-apocalyptic universe of the game. In ascending order of value, you will find a Radioactive warning sign, a Thunderbolt and a Bio Hazard symbol, five of which on a payline triggering a reward 500 times greater than your line bet.

Zombie Zone

Besides these basic and uninspired symbols, there is a Scatter card represented by a Zombie Picture taken by the schoolboy. Three of them anywhere on the reels trigger the Zombie Zone special mode, where all spins are free!

While you are in the Zombie Zone, keep an eye out for the Camera symbol: this Wild card can substitute for any of the basic symbols listed above and multiply your winnings by up to ten as it does so.

The Zombie Zone consists of a succession of Free Spins. Start at level 1 with 5 free games, and collect Zombie Pictures in order to progress to the higher levels and increase the payout multiplier as you do so. Watch the progress bar on the right side of the screen while you are in the Zombie Zone, and be careful not to get bitten!

Survive the Zombie Apocalypse

Zombie Bar is an original video slot game, with a rather strange premise but plenty of gameplay freedom to make up for it. The impressive number of paylines helps multiply the possibilities of landing many winning combinations at once regardless of your settings given that all paylines are permanently activated.

This also means that Zombie Bar can be a rather expensive game to play, depending on the coin denomination you choose to work with. So it might be a good idea to think carefully about your bet settings before going zombie hunting!
