Diamond Deal Casino Game
If you’ve dealt with Gamevy before than you’ll be somewhat familiar with the format of most of their games: there is a risk factor and lottery to them in order to keep the excitement coming.
For those who are lovers of all things sparkly the brand has released Diamond Deal, a glamorous line-up with the potential to dec you out like a princess or prince… all you have to do is find the diamonds in the first place. Come on, nobody said it would be easy!
You’re going to feel like a contestant on a gameshow when you load this title, but bear with it as you could be in with some easy money thanks to your unwavering determination. And that’s all you need: determination to sniff out those gemstones. Now that sounds like an easy peasy game to us, but maybe you should take a peek at our final review to find out for sure.
All Boxed Up
We’ve already touched on the similar setup to some of your favourite game shows, but lets take a closer look at exactly what to expect aesthetically speaking. It may sound fickle, but the imagery used is hugely crucial to the gameplay.
The graphics aren’t quite realistic but they’re not cartoony either - consider them more as 3D virtual reality graphics, that make you feel like you’re in an alternate world very similar but not quite like our own. Now that you’ve become one with the setup, you will notice that there are rows of jewel decorated boxes inside a 5x10 grid; these shining containers are where the diamonds are hiding. Well ten of them anyway.
When you select a box of your choosing the front will disappear and a light will illuminate the interior, which more often than not will be bare. However, should a diamond be inside the light will shine down upon it and then it will become enlarged on the screen with the coins added to your total. You get a great sense of victory whenever you find the gems, which in turn spurs you on to seek out more of them – diamonds aren’t just a girls best friend when you play with Gamevy.
You need to keep your eye on your lives though, and yes you read that correctly, Diamond Deal mixes console elements into this activity, meaning you have a limited number of chances before it’s GAME OVER. There are four in total, which start out as bright white lights, when you click on an empty box the lights will turn black, once all four are black you’re back to the start and placing your bets.
Should you never locate any or not all of the diamonds, the game is kind enough to show you where they were hiding, but shoves a 3D purple font of ‘UNLUCKY’ in your face to make it clear how badly you lost.
Big Money
Cash goes well with diamonds, you could argue they’re essential to having either or, so it goes without saying that Gamevy would provide a tasty jackpot. The final amount is partly decided by you though due to how much your primary stake is; you can select between €1 or €10. At a minimum you’ll be working towards a 100,000 jackpot and at the top end you’ll be looking at a lifechanging 1,000,000 coins!
Aside from that the only button you’ll first see when the game loads is the QUICK PICK option, which does all the searching for you, a bit like the Luck Dip you can purchase for the Lottery. When you tap it the boxes will open, but should you find a gem it will stop after adding the money to your total and you’ll need to click it again to continue.
Once a diamond has been found though a pedestal acting as the CASH OUT feature will appear underneath the newly discovered gem, lighting up in all its glory. Unlike some Gamevy activities that want you to bank a certain amount of money before walking away, with Diamond Deal you can cash out at any time.
My New Best Friend
There isn’t much to not like about Diamond Deal. As far as the combination of an instant win and slot machine is concerned, this game plays perfectly and has a good prize to boot.
